Hill Walking

Introduction to Hill walking — 2-3 hour walks

Join our experienced and qualified guides on some of Fife’s ‘wee’ hills. Small groups...relaxed walking...hill skills and information. Meet new people and get outside!

No experience required.

You will need:

  • Walking boots or shoes
  • Warm clothes
  • Waterproof top and trousers
  • Hat and gloves
  • A wee rucsac for snacks and drinks

All our walks are run at either Norman's Law or Carnie Hill.

Norman's Law

Norman's Law is the highest point in the north of Fife at 285m and is the 11th highest hill in Fife. The summit is an iron age hill fort site with panoramic views over the Tay and Fife. The circular route is accessed from Brunton area and is approx 3 hours long.

Cairnie Hill

This route takes in both Cairnie Hill (228m) and Dunbog Hill (216m) and is approx 3½ hours long. The area is all working countryside both farming and pheasant rearing/shooting with excellent views of the surrounding Fife countryside.

Being able to navigate is an essential building block to equip any outdoor adventure!

This one day introduction to navigation course is not only great fun, but gives you the basics to be able to follow paths and walks around the british isles and beyond. We also cover basic emergency procedures so you can be safe on your adventures.
